Description

The Musaico Portofino Rosso by Bisson is a Ligurian red wine made from Barbera and Dolcetto grapes which in the local tradition have always been indistinctly called " munferà " or monferrine , probably because they originate from Piedmont.

Musaico is historically the first red wine bottled in Tigullio , when there was still no use of producing structured reds on the Tigullina coast.

The name itself tells of the first "recipe" of this wine, which was a set of grapes and vineyards scattered in this part of Liguria, a sort of mosaic in fact.

Portofino Musaico is today a wine that has an intense ruby red color , fragrant aromas of fruit and a strong but not heavy body .

Why you should drink it

To taste a sip of Liguria in a red wine : this Musaico Portofino Rosso by Bisson , on the nose , expresses intense notes of blackberries and almonds and evolving herbaceous hints of thyme and rosemary , classic flavors of Liguria .

A wine you do not expect .

When to uncork it

Musaico is an ideal table wine , an almost “comfortable” wine because it can be a fairly transversal table red , excellent to accompany red meat dishes and aged cheeses. Try it with stewed, braised boar and red meats in mushroom sauce.

How to drink it

The Musaico Rosso di Bisson should be served at a temperature between 16/18 degrees so that you can enjoy all the flavors and aromas released by this wine.

Vinification and Aging

Maceration of 10/12 days in steel , malolactic fermentation and further decanting until obtaining clarity and stabilization until bottling , as well as 12 months in French oak barrels .
