Vermentino

Vermentino, one of the most important white grape varieties in Italy, widespread in Liguria, Tuscany and Sardinia, where one of the most famous denominations, Vermentino di Gallura, is present. Vermentino has unique characteristics in the panorama of Italian white wines, above all the great sapidity and minerality of the vines that overlook the sea, even if each region interprets it differently and the areas in which it is produced give life to very different wines among them: in Liguria it is in the Vermentino Colli di Luni Doc that it is expressed with a unique freshness and elegance. In Sardinia it then reaches an incomparable sapidity and structure. It is very versatile in pairings: it goes very well with almost all seafood preparations, but with a seafood risotto you won't be able to drink anything else!
