Vermentino Di Gallura Docg Vign'Angena 2022 - Capichera
" Vign'Angena " means "foreign vineyard": this splendid Vermentino DOCG , harvested for the first time in 1994, was in fact produced from grapes from managed vineyards, which today, years later and thanks to the great work of Mario and Fabrizio , have become the property of the Capichera farm .
The Vermentino Vign'Angena di Capichera on the nose shows intense aromas of orange blossom, iris, broom, hawthorn and with pleasant mineral notes. In the mouth it is lively and clean , tasty, with an excellent acidity that lengthens the sip.
Why you should drink it
Each wine of Cantina Capichera is capable of embodying the tradition of a wine history , this Vign'Angena elevates the concept to the nth degree .
With this wine, Capichera manages to convey the love for the vineyard , for the wine and for the respect for nature. A real pleasure for the palate .
When to uncork it
If it might seem "wasted" for an aperitif (trust me, it's not at all ), this white wine should be served with first and second courses of fish or with delicate white meat dishes.
How to drink it
This Sardinian Vermentino is to be served and drunk at a temperature of 12°-14° C.
Vinification and Aging
Alcoholic fermentation in steel and malolactic fermentation in steel at controlled temperature. Aging between 4 and 6 months in steel.
The vineyards in which this Vermentino is produced are 10-15 year old vines, exposed to East-West at 120m. asl. We are in Arzachena , in the province of Sassari.
The soil is typical of Gallura which is sandy and rocky , originating from granite decay, very draining and rich in minerals .
