Description

Chardonnay Isonzo Doc is a Friulian white wine , one of the flagship products of the family of Carlo di Pradis , who for three generations has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and runs a farm founded in 1937 in the Collio Friulano , in the province of Gorizia and in the Isonzo plain.

Here the vineyard is cultivated with great passion and in compliance with the teachings of the family, favoring hard work in the countryside.

The excellences that are produced are faithful expression of these principles and values : authentic wines are derived from it, such as this Isonzo Chardonnay .

This Friulian white is fragrant on the nose with hints of yeast , bread crust and golden apple ; it has an inviting flavor , very long and savory to drink .

Why you should drink it

Because Pradis' Chardonnay Isonzo is discreet and very fine , an easy and daily sip even in the price, an always valid choice .

When to uncork it

This Isonzo Chardonnay from Pradis goes very well with the whole range of lean appetizers, dry soups and broths, egg and fish dishes.

With its straw yellow color and its inviting and valuable flavor, it is also the ideal aperitif wine .

How to drink it

Chardonnay Isonzo Doc by Carlo Di Pradis is to be drunk at a temperature of 10/12 degrees , also because on the palate it has a good acid component that balances a not very cold temperature .

Vinification and Aging

Soft pressing with automatic press, static cleaning of the monsters with decanting at 10 degrees for 48 hours and subsequent start of fermentation in steel barrels . At the end of fermentation there is a racking to remove the heavier lees, topping up the barrels and refinement of the same until bottling with weekly "battonage" to keep the yeasts in suspension .

Territory

Pradis is the town of Cormons , in the province of Gorizia , where the roots , the vineyard and the origins of the family producing this wine are located. However, the company follows several vineyards in the neighboring municipalities of Moraro and Mariano towards the Isonzo plain and this is where this Friulian chardonnay is born.
