Description

Moscato d'Asti Prunotto is a sweet wine from the Prunotto company , owned by the famous Antinori wine family, already a protagonist in the history of Tuscan and Italian wine.

This Moscato is produced exclusively with Moscato Bianco di Canelli grapes , carefully harvested and selected by hand. Prunotto has the power to caress the palate, almost as if to pamper it , while the aromas that are perceived on the nose compete to chase each other on the palate and this roundabout can only satisfy those who taste it.

It has a bouquet that opens with characteristic notes of acacia honey and hawthorn, while in the mouth it is dense, full and elegant , with a pleasantly fresh and harmonious finish.

Why you should drink it

Because I can guarantee you that this wine represents a constant quality standard over the years, like all Prunotto house wines it is difficult to find fault with it.

A Moscato that knows how to be drunk, combining the lightness of the sip with a beautiful dynamism .

When to uncork it

Excellent on its own , it goes perfectly with fresh fruit, dry pastries or with Chantilly cream, but above all it will enhance panettone and pandoro . Remember that it's a party moscato , so have a few bottles ready for the evenings to come.

How to drink it

The temperature at which it should be served is between 6-8°C .

Vinification and Aging

After the hand harvest, the bunches are pressed and left for a short time in the press in order to facilitate the passage of the aromas from the skins to the must. The alcoholic fermentation is stopped when 5% alcohol is reached by refrigeration, finally after clarification and filtration the wine was bottled.

Territory

The vineyards where this Moscato di Prunotto is produced are those of Monteu Rosso , Montaldo Roero , MontĂ  and Vezza d'Alba . They are located at an altitude between 200-350 meters above sea level.

Soil

The characteristics of the soil are those of a sedimentary soil of Pliocene origin, rich in sand and calcareous clays .
