Gaja's Barbaresco comes from 100% Nebbiolo grapes , a wine with immense richness and expressiveness , Angelo Gaja is one of those names that excite any wine enthusiast, since his interpretations have given life to immortal bottles , which you can also taste today 50 years after the harvest they are perfectly intact and ready.

This Piedmontese red has truly rich aromas , from dried violet to berries, from dog rose to liquorice, from cocoa to cloves. When tasted it can be both caressing and vigorous , imposing and endowed with velvety tactility. An unstoppable progression , for a liquid that seems to never end.

How to drink it

Serve it in a large glass at around 18°C .

And don't worry, if you can't drink it immediately , store it with the bottle lying down, in the dark and away from vibrations and temperature changes: Gaja wines, if tasted today, even 50 years after the harvest, are perfectly intact and ready .

Vinification and refinement

The bunches, selected with obsessive care , come from 14 proprietary vineyards with extremely low yields , typical in the Gaja house. The fermentation takes place in steel containers and the refinement involves 6 months of rest in barriques and another 18 in large oak barrels.

The vines, 100% Nebbiolo grapes, are located in the municipality of Barbaresco, here is the Gaja estate, founded in 1859 .
