Description

Bortolomiol's Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore "Prior" comes from 100% Glera grapes from Valdobbiadene , home of white wines known throughout the world, right here the Bortolomiol family has historical roots in the field of wine production.

We are talking about a very long history, which began in the mid-1700s with Bartolomeo Bortolomiol, a passionate winemaker on the hills of Valdobbiadene, who handed down his love for this work to his descendants. In 1949 it was Giuliano Bortolomiol who founded the current company , a graduate of the Conegliano School of Oenology he dedicated himself to the recovery and rebirth of abandoned vineyards, with the dream of bringing Prosecco to very high quality levels, to be spread and appreciated in Italy and in the world .

On the nose this Prosecco "Prior" by Bortolomiol shows aromas reminiscent of white-fleshed fruits and white flowers such as jasmine combined with hints of aromatic herbs and citrus fruits, while on the palate it is fresh , lively and lively with a sapid finish that balances the structure.

Why you should drink it

The "Prior" is the bearer of a great innovation , in fact Bortolomiol was the first company to decline the Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG in the Brut version, when all the other wineries still vinified it exclusively as Extra Dry.

A fine bottle without any flaws , a wine to brag about with the diners.

When to uncork it

It is the perfect wine for an aperitif , its frankness lends itself to a large number of combinations, I recommend it with seafood , but try it also with croutons with lard and you will be amazed.

How to drink it

Regardless of the occasion, this is an excellent wine to be uncorked immediately , but I recommend serving it chilled , at a temperature of 6°-8°C .

Vinification and Aging

The grapes are harvested between 15 and 30 September, in the cellar the bunches are softly pressed , followed by alcoholic fermentation which takes place with selected yeasts in steel and the second fermentation takes place between 25 and 30 days . Aging for 2 months in the bottle.

Territory

The Bortolomiol vineyards are located on the hills of Valdobbiadene , the human hand intervenes in a conscious and responsible manner, respecting the ecosystem surrounding the vineyards located at an altitude that varies between 70 and 450 above sea level, the mountain range of Monte Cesen and Col Visentin protect the rows from cold winds from the north, so that only moderate winds arrive.

Soil

The soil is very mineral , rich in water and not very exposed to the winds.
