Originally from Spain, the first "rooted cuttings" (that isgrafted vine shoots) of granaccia landed in Quiliano between the end of the 1400s and the beginning of the 1500s thanks to local families who traded with the Iberian country. Today, after about 500 years of acclimatization, the Quiliano crab can be considered almost to all intents and purposes onevarietyautochthonous.
The particularity of theGranaccia CappucciniOfInnocenzo Turcolies above all in thevineyardfrom which thegrapesto produce it: thecruCapuchins.
