Description

Ahab by Luretta is an ambitious challenge, apparently almost senseless: wanting to tame Pinot Noir to rewrite its history in an anomalous and unusual context, to break with tradition and create new rules of the game.

Ruby red in colour, delicate aromas of red berries and violets on the nose and on the palate it is sweet and pulpy, with a taste of raspberry softened by French wood.

It was born from the intention of reinterpreting Pinot Noir in the Lombard context, therefore having to experiment several times and however managing to create one of the most refined bottles in the cellar.

Ahab is a wine produced in limited series of a maximum of 3000 bottles per year: why wouldn't you like to try one? When does it happen to you?

When to uncork it

Surely ACHAB by Luretta is not a wine that can be drunk on all occasions, so evaluate carefully when to uncork the bottle.

This wine goes well with white meats, fish, or first courses: it should be enjoyed calmly, with special people and perhaps on the occasion of something special. In short: the typical wine for an event or important communication!

How to drink it

Enjoy this Pinot Noir by drinking it at a temperature between 18° and 20°C.

Vinification and Aging

Fermentation time 20 days. 100% barrique containers. Barriques annual renewal 50%. Stay in barriques 18 months.

Territory

We are located in the cellars of Castello di Momeliano, in the province of Piacenza.

Soil

The soils are made up of clayey-silty fluvial deposits and calcareous marls.
