Description

Hunawihr's Vin d'Alsace GewĂŒrztraminer was born in vineyards located in the Upper Rhine area , in France. It is produced exclusively with GewĂŒrztraminer grapes , harvested and selected entirely by hand.

The olfactory framework is intense and aromatic , with floral aromas, notes of exotic fruit, in particular litchis, passion fruit, pineapple and soft hints of spices. On the palate it has a good structure , it is enveloping and soft with balanced acidity.

Why you should drink it

Because GewĂŒrztraminer is the aromatic wine par excellence and that of Alsace is one of the most important and loved grape varieties !

An excellent wine to drink young for its exuberant aroma , but very interesting to drink even after a few years of aging in the bottle.

When to uncork it

There are those people who, sooner or later, decide to experiment in the kitchen.

If you love exotic dishes and like to indulge in oriental and spicy cuisines , such as Indian, Thai and Moroccan, then GewĂŒrztraminer d'Alsace RĂ©serve Alsace Willm cannot be missing from your table.

What then, let's be clear: it's not like you have to start cooking, eh. It's ok even if you order at home!

How to drink it

We like Hunawihr's GewĂŒrztraminer cold , but not too cold: 10/12°C will be perfect!

Vinification and Aging

Hunawihr's Vin d'Alsace GewĂŒrztraminer is produced exclusively with GewĂŒrztraminer grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand .

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C for 3 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages for 4 months on the fine lees, before being bottled.

Territory

Cave Vinicole Hunawihr is located in the heart of Alsace , a few kilometers north of Colmar , in one of the most prestigious and historically rich French wine regions. The area is kissed by a perfect climate for vines. The Vosges massif blocks the perturbations that come from the west, guaranteeing a mild, sunny climate with very low rainfall.

Soil

Valuable soils of predominantly calcareous matrix, the soil is heterogeneous and very suitable, consisting of a mix of granites , schists , limestones and clays .
