Valle D'Aosta Fumin Dop 2019 - Le Clocher

ÂŁ17.66

Description

We are located in the central basin of the Valley, a few kilometers from Aosta: here Danilo and his daughter Nicole lead the family business which boasts 4.5 hectares of vineyards and which produces about 35,000 bottles a year in 12 different labels.

With Fumin , the Le Clocher winery re-proposes a grape variety that has only been relaunched in recent years: Fumin is in fact considered a small Valle d'Aosta wine gem , which in this version expresses the best of its character.

The color is intense purple red with violet reflections, ripe red fruits, spices, vegetal and balsamic notes are felt on the nose, while in the mouth the taste is broad, very warm, with good softness and velvety.

Why you should drink it

Surely the fact that Le Clocher produces its wines in total respect for the environment, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, is a good starting point!

Just think that to create these wines they practice Heroic Viticulture - and no, you haven't already heard of it in the Marvel movies. Here we are talking about particular characteristics of the territory, such as slopes greater than 30%, strong temperature variations and other peculiarities that make working the soil much more difficult.

In short: Danilo and Nicole do an incredible job. The least you can do is taste the sublime efforts of these labors, right?

When to uncork it

Can you drink a red from Valle d'Aosta without pairing it with a nice polenta? Sure ... But it would be strange. So we highly recommend it!

In the winter, a lunch with old friends huddled in the kitchen and a nice plate of polenta with sauce is never lacking: next time it happens to you, you will know what to bring! And since you will look great looking like a real sommelier, you also propose to have a second course based on game - you will have just won the bomber of the year award by transforming a normal lunch with friends into an incredible tasting experience!

How to drink it

The perfect tasting temperature for Fumin is 20 ° C.
