Description

The Roero "Montespinato" by Cascina Chicco is an elegant Nebbiolo produced in purity, the name " Montespinato " derives from the vineyard, located in the heart of Roero , north of the Tanaro river.

The care put into the production of this wine is almost maniacal , in fact during the harvest the bunches are not trivially picked by hand but even selected one by one , in two steps spaced about 6/10 days, in this way the bunches that at the first round they may not yet be completely ready, after a few days they can instead reach perfect maturation.

It shows a ruby red color and a captivating aroma of raspberries, rose and vanilla, in the mouth it is pleasantly substantial, with soft tannins that find balance with the warmth of the body.

Vinification and Aging

The maceration of the grapes takes place in steel at a regulated temperature, then rests for 12-15 months before being reassembled in steel tanks before bottling.
