Description
La Poja together with Amarone is the workhorse of the Allegrini winery , one of the most rooted and prestigious wineries in Valpolicella. The origins of this wine date back to 1979, when the patron Giovanni Allegrini decided to establish Podere La Poja on the La Groia hill.
La Poja Allegrini is produced with Corvina grapes , harvested manually towards the end of October in a slightly overripe state.
The nose has a bouquet that recalls medicinal herbs and balsamic plants , together with a wide range of fruit and spices. "La Poja" amazes in the mouth for the graceful , clear and elegant touch. The tannins are pleasant and impeccable and the pleasant aromas develop in a long, very fresh and mineral, captivating, enchanting finish.
