Description

The Valpolicella Classico Bonacosta by Masi, the historic Veronese winery, is made from a blend capable of describing the territory like few others. A simple, elegant wine that is defined by finesse and pleasantness.

The color is soft and brilliant ruby red, it gives off fresh, clear and fruity scents of ripe cherries and wild herbs. In the mouth it is soft, fresh, elegant and subtle, with aromas of cherry and almond on the finish.

Vinification and Aging

The Valpolicella Classico "Bonacosta" by Masi is composed of a blend of Corvina , Rondinella and Molinara . To keep its character of freshness and fruit intact, the must obtained is fermented in steel tanks. This phase is followed by a short aging of 6 months in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels. A further month of maturation in the bottle precedes marketing.

Territory

The Masi vineyards are located in the hills north of Verona, protected by the Alpine chain of the Lessini mountains and mitigated by the lacustrine influence of Lake Garda.
