Description
Tenuta Crocedimezzo's Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes , giving life to an expression with a structured but at the same time balanced taste , a special characteristic in the Montalcino area. The winery was founded in 1971 , among rolling hills and suggestive vineyards, a few steps from the property of the historic Biondi-Santi winery.
It presents a fascinating and profound olfactory panorama that evokes sensations of berries, rose petals, balsamic herbs and undergrowth, combined with hints of spices and leather due to the long passage in oak. Structured , soft and intense tasting, surprisingly balanced, characterized by crunchy freshness and a velvety tannic texture to accompany the long fruity and spicy persistence .
Why you should drink it
The name "Brunello di Montalcino" alone should be a more than valid reason, if that wasn't enough I'll tell you that this is one of those bottles that every wine lover must drink , a wine that confirms itself at the top of the entire denomination thanks to its a traditional expression but with special notes .
Don't miss it if you want to discover a different interpretation than usual .
When to uncork it
A bottle to uncork when you want to pamper your guests . A perfect wine for any meal, I recommend you enjoy it together with grilled meat or preparations with mushroom sauce .
How to drink it
Uncork it and let it breathe for at least an hour , serve it at a temperature of 18°-20°C .
Vinification and refinement
Once the grapes have reached the ideal stage of maturation, we proceed with the manual harvesting and careful selection of the bunches , which are then vinified through alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature in contact with the skins for 21 days. Subsequently, the mass is transferred to large Slavonian and Allier oak barrels for aging for 30 months . This is followed by at least 8 months of further rest in the bottle before the definitive release on the market, a factor that allows us to immediately propose a highly enjoyable wine .
