Description

Kerner from the Unterhofer winery is a particular aromatic white wine characterized by hints of apricot and peach. The kerner is a typical vine of the upper part of Sudtirol , only here in fact it can express itself at its best.

A wine with a good structure, almost fat on the palate but balanced by a mineral tension that only expert hands like Unterhofer can enhance.

Vinification and Aging

Destemming of the grapes and fermentation of the must at a controlled temperature in steel tanks . Even the aging was done in steel tanks.

The Unterhofer family is based in South Tyrol, in Caldaro.

Soil

The alluvial soil in calcareous gravel with a high percentage of sand characterizes the white grape vineyards.
