Description

The Innocenzo Turco farm was founded in 1898 and transformed in 2006 with the unchanged goal of producing quality wines .

The Pigato Riviera Ligure di Ponente has a golden straw yellow color and a fine, clean aroma, with good persistence and intensity, in which floral notes of gaggia, aromatic herbs and slight hints of citrus prevail. In the mouth it is savory, almost brackish, full and warm. It reveals a nice acidity on the finish, with a slight aftertaste of anise and almond

Why you should drink it

Because the Innocenzo Turco farm has been working in the vineyards since 1898 and certainly knows what it does when it comes to wines.

A land and wines that combine history and tradition with modern equipment and conviviality. Why not try it?

When to uncork it

Ok, yes, Pigato certainly goes well with fish dishes.

But have you ever tried it with stewed vegetables, savory pies or pasta dishes seasoned or stuffed with herbs !? This Pigato DOC by Innocenzo Turco then is the white to combine with these dishes to make you change your mind on the usual "white-fish" and break the mold!

Drink it with friends, it will be even better.

How to drink it

To enjoy the Pigato at its best, drink it around 10-12 ° C.

Vinification and Aging

The harvest takes place in the third decade of September. The vinification takes place in traditional white, with de-stemming of the grapes and fermentation at a controlled temperature (18 ° C). It does not take place in malolactic fermentation to intensify the varietal aromas. It then matures for 6 to 8 months in steel containers. It is bottled with sterile filtration in the late spring following the harvest. It rests for a few months in the bottle before being sent to the table.

Territory

We are located in a vineyard of about half a hectare cultivated in one of the characteristic vegetable gardens of the plain dominated by the ancient village of Quiliano (SV).

Soil

Loose and sandy soils.
