Poggio al Tesoro is the Bolgheri estate of the Allegrini family, one of the most important names in Valpolicella, the project is the realization of the desire to compete with another land of great red wines, a sort of new adventure to prove themselves again. It all started from an intuition of Walter Allegrini, who has always been a lover of the Bolgheri area and its wines. The 70 hectares of the estate are located in a natural context of extraordinary beauty, the hills of Castagneto Carducci shelter the Bolgheri area from the winds coming from the east and the gentle breezes of the Tyrrhenian Sea mitigate the heat of a typically Mediterranean climate. The vines are cultivated in an area of great biodiversity, among spontaneous shrubs of the Mediterranean maquis and maritime pines. The property is made up of four farms, two located near the famous via Bolgherese, one in Sondraie, near the coast, and the last in the splendid Bibbona area.
