Description

Fortemasso's Langhe Nebbiolo comes from 100% Nebbiolo grapes , we are talking about a wine that best reflects the fruity characteristics of the vine , all thanks to the careful processing that brings out a great taste balance that facilitates gastronomic pairing.

On the nose it expresses clear , broad aromas, with floral notes of violet and fruity notes of raspberry, cherry and plum. In the mouth it is truly harmonious , full and tasty with a slightly dry and pleasantly fruity finish.

Why you should drink it

There is no need to ask yourself why you should drink a Nebbiolo , especially in this case where we are talking about a product that embodies all the skill that Piedmontese producers employ in creating Nebbiolo .

When to uncork it

Perfect wine to drink immediately , but if you really want you can let it rest in the cellar for five years .

To try with classic Piedmontese appetizers or white meats , also excellent with fresh or medium-aged cheeses .

How to drink it

The ideal temperature to enjoy this Nebbiolo at its best is 18°C .

Vinification and refinement

The freshly harvested grapes are crushed and destemmed and left to ferment in stainless steel and in the first days of fermentation pumping over is carried out in order to facilitate the extraction of color and aromas from the skin . After 3-5 days of maceration, the must is drawn off, thus separating it from the pomace, and left to ferment at a controlled temperature for another 5-6 days. After aging in steel for a few months, the wine is bottled in spring.

Territory

Castelletto , in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba , is where the Fortemasso winery is based: a place of great charm which with its vineyards dominates the landscape of the Langhe. The Fortemasso vineyards are located in the MGA Castelletto, on the slopes of a slope with a very steep slope, between 360 and 450 meters above sea level.

Soil

Sant'Agata Marl composed of white marly-calcareous soil .
