Description

« Caespes » is the Latin term that in a poetic sense evokes the territory, just like this wine which is its noblest expression.

The color is bright and shiny straw yellow, while the scent is mineral with hints of citrus and white flowers. In the mouth it is striking for its freshness, minerality and balanced acidity, on the finish it is savory and persistent.

Why you should drink it

You must know that once upon a time viticulture was widespread in the alluvial plain of Barbera , especially in Timorasso . After the Second World War, however, the depopulation caused a decrease in the cultivation of this variety, risking almost its disappearance!

However, the Poggio winery , together with other wineries, wanted to recover this territory and bring it back to its ancient glory: obviously they are succeeding!

And what are you doing? After all their hard work don't you drink a recovered typical wine? Come on, if you don't drink it, you regret it.

When to uncork it

This is the perfect wine to open at the table with your friends!

Lots of chatter, old memories and never seen videos that pop up on mobile phones: all in front of first and second courses, of fish or white meat, and with the Colli Tortonesi that slowly decreases.

How to drink it

The recommended serving temperature is 8/10 ° C.

Vinification and Aging
