Educated Design: Wine meets architecture with Vinové and TUTTOLEGNO.

On November 26, 2024, an extraordinary event took place that was able to merge the world of design with the refinement of oenology. Il Design Educato: lusso e sostenibile in architettura , organized by TUTTOLEGNO di Badano in collaboration with Vinové

A packed program of talks, featuring some of the world’s leading architects – Alessia Galimberti, Elisa Salvetti, Enrico Nunziato, Michela Oddone, Antonio Norezo, Ferruccio Piaggio, Lucio Dusatti and many more – offered a unique opportunity to explore how sustainable materials and innovative design can redefine luxury. However, it was the collaboration with Vinové that truly brought a special touch to the event.

Vinové presented the exclusive masterclass “Wine & Design: two apparently distant worlds” , a meeting that revealed the profound connections between the world of wine and that of design. Led by our sommelier Matteo Circella , the experience won over the public thanks to a multisensory journey through flavors, aromas and aesthetics.

In the glass, two great names, two companies with which we happily collaborate, two friends: Walter De Battè , from Liguria and Nicola Gatta from Franciacorta.

The first wine presented was the " Saladero" by Prima Terra, an intense and complex orange wine, an authentic expression of the Ligurian territory. Produced by the legendary Walter De Battè with Bosco, Vermentino and Albarola grapes from vineyards overlooking the sea in the village of Montaretto, this pearl was paired with lasagnette al pesto, a symbolic dish of the Ligurian tradition, which harmonized perfectly with the saline and aromatic notes of the "Saladero".

The second wine tasted was the Metodo Classico "Quattrocento 40 Lune" by Nicola Gatta, a sparkling wine obtained from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with grapes grown in Gussago following the principles of biodynamics. This sparkling wine ages on the lees for 40 months, hence the name, developing a frank and fragrant olfactory profile. The pairing with the Gorgonzola donut from the Grondona company created a harmonious contrast, enhancing the complexity and elegance of the sparkling wine.

The masterclass involved over 60 participants, who actively interacted, asking questions and showing enthusiasm for the wines presented. The organizers expressed great appreciation for the quality of the wines and for Matteo Circella 's ability to involve and enthuse the audience, underlining how even the moderator, architect Alessia Galimberti , praised the presentation.

Another highlight of the event was the intervention of Garbellotto , a world leader in the production of barrels. The presentation of the NIR project , an innovative patent that analyzes the soils of oak forests to create specific lines of woods, brought a unique perspective on the importance of terroir also in the production of barrels.

The event Il Design Educato was not only an opportunity to explore new horizons between design and wine, but also a concrete demonstration of how two apparently distant sectors can enrich each other. The collaboration with Vinové Agency highlighted the importance of sensory experience and attention to detail, values shared by both the world of design and wine.
