Description
The Pecorino Superiore by Orlandi Contucci Ponno is a fresh , structured wine, with marked varietal acidity obtained from Pecorino grapes , of which it is made up of 100%, we are talking about a vine recovered in the early 90s after they had almost been lost in the past traces after the destruction of phylloxera and consequently abandoned and replaced with more productive and, therefore, more profitable varieties.
It expresses typical aromas of tropical fruit, white flowers and broom, while in the mouth it is truly pleasant , fresh with good acidity, tasty but above all well structured .
Why you should drink it
This is one of those wines that comes from a "recovered" vine , we could say an endangered species , furthermore this bottle contains all the qualities that come from its Abruzzo origins.
When to uncork it
To drink throughout the meal , I recommend it with fish dishes, furthermore this wine does not disdain pairing with a nice broth .
How to drink it
Always keep a bottle chilled and when there is an opportunity, uncork it, serve it at a temperature of 10-12℃ .
Vinification and refinement
Cryomaceration for the extraction of aromas followed by soft pressing, fermentation and temperature controlled in steel where the wine remains for 4 months until bottling which takes place the following spring.
Territory
The vineyards are in the Chietino area, in the municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi , a fantastic area characterized by breathtaking landscapes and above all excellent exposures .
Soil
The soil is calcareous loam , rich in skeleton .
