Description

ThisHills of Levantoit's aRed winewith grapesSangiovese, Merlot, Ciliegiolo, which comes from historic vineyards ofLigurian territorywhich are found in different plots of the hill ofBonassola, well exposed and facing the sea with a Mediterranean climate but always windy and dry.

A very drinkable red wine, territorial and traditional. A decisive and “green” wine, coming from one of the few certified vineyardsbiologicalin an agricultureheroiclike that of the Ligurian coast.

A young red wine- vintage 2020 - which plays on fruity, straightforward, direct and full of character. Produced by two very young winemakers, Davide Zoppi and Giuseppe Aieta, of the company opened by Davide's parents in 2000. Davide is passionate aboutwinewho, having graduated in law, decided not to pursue a career as a magistrate, but to invest in the family business to pursue another civic commitment: the recovery of the territory.

Why you should drink it

Because it is adifferent winefrom usual. The Rosso Colline di Levanto Dop Ngilùit is perfect for when you want to drink something special, to discover and get to know in an oenologically little-known area such as that ofHills of Levanto Dop.

As the producer Davide Zoppi writes: “It elevates the spirit if drunk, as our grandparents did for lunch among the vineyards, sitting on a stone looking at the sea and listening to the wind”.

Health!

When to uncork it

When it is winter and you miss the sea and you want to taste "the taste of salt" through a glass: an iodized and brackish sip from game and fireplace.

How to drink it

Drink thisbottle of Ngilùat 18-20 degrees (in short, not in the fridge).

Vinification and Aging

Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After racking, the malolactic fermentation also takes place in the same tanks, for a minimum of 6 months.

Territory

From the village ofBonassola, a jewel of Ligurian architecture with its pastel houses and alleys that smell of freshly baked focaccia, up to the sunny hills of Levanto. And from the terraces that decline towards vertical landscapes, to the same alleys ofRiomaggioreAndVernazza, which in a continuous ups and downs with glimpses of the sea, inebriate tourists from all over the world.

Soil

Various and characteristic; clayey composition, medium mixture of volcanic origin.
